New name announced for the UAP office acknowledges the need for a wider scope

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has announced that the UAP office has been renamed from the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group (AOIMSG) to the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). This name change reflects the expanding scope to include anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged, and transmedium objects.

Dr Sean M. Kirkpatrick, most recently the chief scientist at the Defense Intelligence Agency's Missile and Space Intelligence Center, has been officially confirmed as the director of AARO. Dr K - as he’s apparently known to his colleagues - was born to a US Army family and has a solid background in Defense and Intelligence roles, which began immediately after graduating in physics.

We must, of course, give Kirkpatrick every chance to show that he will carry out his duties well. He’s a public servant for the American people, many of whom want transparency on this UAP issue. Plus, he’s a trained scientist and so obliged to discover more about the nature of reality. But Kirkpatrick is also a successful career ladder climber. So there should be some suspicion that he’ll tow the official Pentagon line, whatever that is, if asked to do so. We’ve previously reported conflicting attitudes between lawmakers in Congress and some of those in power within the Pentagon, and it would be naïve to think this has been resolved.
