Jake Barber claimed: “We’re going to get a craft!” 18 months on, where is it?

I’ve given him lots of additional time. Jake Barber, 18 months ago, confidently claimed that he and his Skywatcher team would be able to answer the following questions in the next 12 months, but most probably within half of that time: “What do the craft look like? How do they operate? Who is operating them? How are they being operated? And where are they coming from?” Barber expected to have these answers “within the first half of 2025”, but certainly by the end of the year.

Jake Barber further claimed: “I am absolutely confident that we are capable of generating the type of high-quality sensor data and photograph and film evidence that everyone is wanting…that we’re going to get a craft.” He stated: “There are two types of summoning that can be done that we’ve proven works. There’s machine-based summoning systems and there’s man-based summoning systems.” Barber was using “our teams that we used for years in the Legacy Program”.

Well, it’s now July 2026. And there’s zilch. I originally planned to write this article after the 12 months had expired, but then - in the spirit of fairness - I decided to give Jake Barber an additional six months.

I first wrote about Jake Barber in an article asking “Are these three whistleblowers -Jason Sands, Mike Herrera, and Jake Barber - telling the truth?” Whereas I concluded that Jason Sands and Mike Herrera were both liars or fabulists, it was obvious to me that Jake Barber sincerely believed what he was saying. Nevertheless, I was extremely dubious about his confident claims that he could summon one or more craft, getting them to land, then reverse-engineer the alien technology, putting it this way: “I’m not about to bet the shirt off my back or even the socks off my feet because it sounds less than extremely unlikely. If I’m wrong, I’ll be amongst the first to admit it and celebrate the proof of the pudding.”

In the summer of 2025, thousands of interested individuals were waiting for the Skywatcher Part III video to be released on YouTube. Personally, I found Parts I & II dull and lacking, so I wasn’t expecting anything different. On 1st August 2025, Skywatcher tweeted on X: “Part III on Psionics is completed and going through the appropriate editing and review process. We’re confident you will all really enjoy it. More very soon!” Nothing has been released during the past 11 months. And talk of “psionics” was a major red flag for me, not least because I had formally studied parapsychology at university in the 1970s (as mentioned in the three whistleblowers article).

The Evolve First team and I all hold the view that there is a high likelihood our planet is being visited and observed by intelligent beings more evolved than the human race. But sensational claims by those interested in this subject merely muddy the water, bringing it into disrepute. Jake Barber & co have not provided the “evidence that everyone is wanting”. His statement “we’re going to get a craft” has not materialised. Similar claims and promises have been made over and over, decade after decade.

We have a convincing explanation for the Fermi paradox. But the vast majority of people seem to have conveniently overlooked this realistic explanation for what’s happening. Instead, they merely wallow in belief - with little or no factual substance to work with - and so easily fall into the trap of filling in the missing gaps with silliness.
